Don't Bother Your Neighbors

Since we have little yapping dogs, and our friends across the street kid us about hearing them bark from the back from thier home. So Don and Bonnie are dog sitting a collie named Nick, Don was playing with Nick by the side of his house and Nick was barking. I stopped painting the deck rockers to poke fun at Don.

So, I went over to joke about hearing Nick bark. Well this started a sequence of events that I had not planned on. First Don introduced me to his friend from Arizona, Al. While sitting on thier deck visiting with Don and Al, Bonnie and Al's wife, Joan joined us. Bonnie called Stacy over for lunch and the rest of the day was a blur.

Stacy and Bonnie had been to Lowes earlier in the week and picked out a ceiling fan for her birthday. Not wanting to install a fan today, I kind of played it off as having too much to do. Well, Bonnie says she knows a great electrician, Al. The next thing I know, Al volunteers to install the fan. While trying to be polite and thank Al and to let him know he was on vacation and I could not ask him to work.

So now I'm on my way to Lowes, spending an hour while Stacy gets the fan, the extension bar, pull chains, light bulbs and some hardware. I get to the register, and the cashier says, $150.00!!

Now we're back at the house and Don and Al come over and install this 6 armed fan in the dining room. They did an outstanding job and did not use my favorite tool, a hammer. Both of them thought they we're in charge of this production and I listened to them give each other orders on how to do the next task. I stepped back as these two old friends started throwing playfull verbal barbs at each other.

Once completed, Stacy was about a happy camper as you can get. Giggles, squeels and much jumping and hand clapping.

If I had just stayed home instead of kidding Don about Nick, I could have saved a bundle.

Al on the left and Don on the right.
The whirling 6 armed, $150.00 birthday fan.

David and Lori Graham

I love them.

Stacy's Birthday

Today was Stacy's birthday, I am not allowed to say how old she is, so guess somewhere between 20 and 50. She had a wonderful day, Mandy and Nichole took her to eat mexican at Casa Blanca complete with flowers.

I took her to Red Lobster for dinner and then to see Indiana Jones. When we returned home, our neighbors had used a spare key and left Stacy a nice card and a beautiful cake, which she quickly started to eat.

She had such a full day, she is now sleeping, goodnight my princess.

Country Roads Take Me Home

After leaving the office this afternoon, I decided to take Briley Pky to 41A for my trip home, nice quiet peacefull relaxing way to get home. If you don't mind AC/DC's "Back in Black." in your ear buds.

Working from Work

Contrary to popular belief, I do have a job and do actually work.

Most times I work in cycles, if I manage well, I can take opportunities and "work" from home. Other times I do work from home and in my underwear.

But after my Knoxville trip, our business development manager (sales guy) got busy with it. So now I am in a cycle of identifying, hiring, training and getting new accounts into motion. One of the new accounts is near Bristol, and lots of fishing and golf in that area.

Baby Twins Mamma, (BTM) I have a broadband card for my laptop and can work from the golf course. Just been busy. Stacy golfed today with Mandy's Dave while I slaved at the office. I actually have to work tomorrow! A Friday!

But riding the bike to work is a dream, saddle bags are just the right size for my laptop and brief case, now, where to put the clubs.

I love David and Lori

Memorial Day with Friends

We spent Memorial Day with our good friends Don and Bonnie McLaren at their home. We had planned to grill at our home, but the weather did not cooperate and our deck was soaked. So we grilled on their deck and ate in the screened in porch. It was a wonderful time of fellowship. We have known Don and Bonnie for only a year, but I feel I have known them a lifetime, I can say honestly, I love these two.
After dinner, the women we're in the kitchen cleaning up, but I checked, they we're not bare foot (and not be pregnant).
After the clean up, we played cards in Don and Bonnie's bonus room, I guess I smelled, cause I was all alone on my side of the table. We then watched the first half of the Andromida Strain. It was a good presentation. Stacy ate 4 HUGE chocolate chip cookies. Stacy and Bonnie as card playing partners is a good thing for Don and I............they lost.....again......what's new.

By the way, mommy of twins, we we're back at Walmart today because after visiting 2 seperate Walmarts, and the Ft. Campbell commissary on Saturday we needed wing and BBQ sauce. Somehow baby twins mamma, you will justify this. I am glad you and yours are home safely and that you're family had a great holiday.

Sunday Ride-Two States, 5 Cities

David Morey and I after getting back from our two state, 5 city tour. Actually it was only about 40 miles, we started at his home in St B, then on to Guthrie, Adams, Pleasant View and ended at my home in Sango. But two states, 5 cities sounded better than a 40 mile ride.

If it's Saturday, it must be..................................

Walmart.
If you need to talk to me on Saturday, call customer service at Walmart and ask to speak to Frank.

In fact we went twice on Saturday! Once in the morning than again in the afternoon. Both times we went with a "small" list. Ended up with a buggy both times.

In light of going to Walmart twice on Saturday, we also went grocery shopping on Ft. Campbell between Walmart trips. Does anyone else see anything wrong with this? No comment from the mother with the twins, you know who you are.

For lunch we went to El Bracero on Tiny Town, the Nacho's we're good, the salsa good, the service stunk. Nuff said, but the food was good enough to go back.

Come rain or Shine

After getting home from work today, yes, my actual office in Nashville, Stacy wanted to go golfing. On the way to Mason Rudolph, we got rained on, but that was not stopping Stacy. My wife has become addicted to the game. She could never understand why I enjoyed it so much, then she took lessons as a gift for my 50th birthday.

It's hard to see, but there is a doulble rainbow on this shot, I was looking back at the tee box from the green on 8 and noticed this awsome rainbow.

When I looked back again, I saw my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Deadhorse Lake

Had another busy day at work today. I had a few hours between accounts this afternoon so I stopped by the Deadhorse Lake branch in Knoxville and walked 9. Beautiful day to be at work, took a few calls and did a little networking.

The view from my 9th tee office.

Out of the nine holes, pared 2 and the had bogeys on the rest, not bad for a day at work.

Too Much Golf? Never!

I know there is no such thing as too much golf. I played 18 at my Swan Lake office on Friday, walked Mason Rudolph twice yesterday and once this evening.

I enjoyed playing with Stacy and our neighbors, Don and Bonnie McClaren at Swan Lake and Dave the last two days.

I want to thank Mandy's Dave for cutting my grass yesterday (long story) with the help of my neighbor Don. (another long story) It was because of them I was able to golf the past two days.

Be careful of hazards, no matter what they may be.

These signs are all around the golf courses in San Diego.

Some hazards are marked, some are not, know the difference.

Fish fear Me.

Took a kayak trip down the Cumberland this afternoon and got some fishing in. I take pictures of the fish then release them, because my family thinks the only type of fish you can eat comes in stick form.

Working from Home Tomorrow

I have another tough day working from home scheduled for Friday. This includes a multitude of tasks that I must accomplish such as securing a tee time and making sure I have enough cigars to complete my work.

Have laptop, broadband card, cell phone so I can work from anywhere. So while some of you have got to go to the office, take care of babies (you know who you are) etc., I will be slaving away on some local golf course keeping the world secure for all to live.

You can thank me on Saturday when I'm done working if I'm not fishing or kayaking.

FORE!!!

Just another day in Chattanooga

Back in Chattanooga for the next two days recruiting for some new employees. Good help is hard to find. Had dinner at Smoky Bones they have excellent BBQ, had the pulled pork sampler, I ended up taking some of it back to the hotel for a midnight snack. Nothing worth watching on PPV so it looks like an early night.

Midlife Crisis-Don't go there.

This is the most comfortable bike I have ever driven. Thanks David, I am so enjoying this.

First "baby momma day" for Lisa

This last weekend was blur, mother's day, my youngest's daughter, Lisa's birthday and her first mother's day, our grandbaby in the house, and the girls over for dinner. Mandy and Lisa cooked fajitas for Stacy and it was great! Scott, Lisa's husband and I did the dishes so all the ladies could take naps or in Mandy's case go to work at the OG. Nichole came over after her shift at the OG and brought the "baby momma" day gifts.
