Workin'

Although the economy my be down, the security industry seems to be booming. I have been working everyday and traveling more than usual.
I did get to grab a few geocaches last weekend as I find this new hobby enjoyable and a stress reliever for me. One of the caches I found last week had to do with Clarksville's local Olympian, Wilma Rudolph. She is buried in a small cemetery next to the Mason Rudolph golf course. The engraving on her headstone, "Faster, Higher, Braver."
While in Cleveland, I saw a roof support where I was filling up, relieving itself. It was pouring down rain, and this post filled up with water and was draining from a small hole.

A waterfall, a running faucet and this all has the same effect on me, I had to enter the gas station and go too. Between Knoxville and Chattanooga is the small Tennessee town of Loudon. I enjoying stopping at the top of his small rise to catch up on voice and email.

I get a treat this weekend, although I will be working, Stacy is going with me on this trip to Knoxville. We have some errands to run this morning, then dinner with the Grahams and Colemans at the Olive Garden.

After dinner, we will take off for Knoxville for a midnight new job start, then tomorrow we can enjoy the day and look for an Easter basket for the grand baby.

Being busy is an understatement at this point, but I am grateful for being employed, blessed with Stacy, without who, I am nothing.

Dying To Get In

During my travels, I have been geocaching and one of my favorite places to search is old grave yards in historic parts of the towns I visit.
This is the Ramsey Cemetery in Cleveland TN, there is a lot of the Wade family buried here. One of the principals to geocaching is "pack it out." This means always clean up anyplace that you go into or "pack it out". I ended up taking the fast food waste I found here with me when I left.
If you want to learn some history about where you live, visit the local grave yards and just read some of the markers.

Anyway, people are dying to get into these places, yet few visit. That's why when I go I want to be scattered around all the local Mexican restaurants in Clarksville, so I know Stacy will visit me.

Another Day in Paradise

I was gone most of last week, and will be again for a couple of days this week. So today, Stacy took me to Eastland Green's South Nine for some golf. I only had a few calls during our round and it was nice because no one else was there.
Stacy warming up.
Stacy lining up her putt.Dropping the shot.
After golf, I left for the Nashville office, then on to Knoxville. I got a burger from Peerless Restaurant for dinner.

Very Busy Week

This past week seemed to fly so fast, the next thing I know it's Friday night and I am unpacking from a business trip.

Last Saturday was so nice compared to yesterday, Stacy and I spent the day riding around Tennessee and Kentucky.
On Sunday, Grace started the sermon series "Epic." On Monday night we hosted our community group at our home. Then on Tuesday I was off to Chattanooga for the day then on to Knoxville for an overnight.
Job security seems good for me right now, I've been awarded two major nationwide contracts that start on or before 1 April.
With this security, comes travel, Stacy and I have prayed and are thankful for my current job situation and will make the best of it.
So after recruiting and meeting with my two clients, I was off to Johnson City TN to conduct a job assessment on two other possible new projects.
On Thursday I got the opportunity to travel to Virginia on two separate interstates, one going north and south, the other east and west. This is the east and west route just off of I-26. This is the north and south from I-81.
After one assessment in Virginia, I was scheduled to do another, same client but in Sevierville TN. I got the opportunity to stay in one of my favorite hotels. This hotel is decorated in a "Gone with the Wind" motif. Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara stuff all over the place.

But it does have some of the nicest views from the balcony as I sat and enjoyed a nice Cohiba. The view down the staircase into the lobby.

This one trip I wish Stacy could have come with me, fireplace and a hot tub.

Got home Friday at dinner time, so we went to Ruby Tuesdays. Yesterday, it was off to Wally's place where I got my Turbo Tax software and started our taxes.

The little grand baby, aka, "the drooler," spent the night so she could go to church with us. Here she is drooling into my briefcase trying to get to all of my electronics.

Sunday morning comes and it's Pop time. All the cupboards have child locks on them except two of them. One with the pots and pans the other with goodies in it. I asked Emma what she was playing with cause it did not look like one of her toys.

When I came around the couch I found that she had found Nana's mother lode.

New Hobby-Geocaching

I met my best friend in highschool through Facebook after he sent me an email. After a lot of online talking about catching up on the last 25 years since we saw each other. He told me about Geocaching, it's like high tech treasure hunting. Rather than try to explain it, check out Geocaching.com.

One of the first places I started was Rotary Park just off the bypass.
One of the clues was "down by the creek".
Following the coordinates I entered into my GPS, I was right were I was suppose to be. The next clue was "in the tree". So I stuck my hand into a tree and reached the bottom and found this ammo can.

Inside the ammo can was a large assortment of "stuff."
There are over 775,000 spots in the US where these "caches" are hidden, over 300 between Clarksville and Nashville alone.
Saturday night we had dinner with the Grahams, here is Lori explaining the huge paws on her new puppy.
