Where it All Started

As most of those who follow this blog, you know that Stacy and I are high school sweethearts. This is the front of Mt. Miguel HS where we met.

It looked a lot different this time, instead of a great view of the desert mountains, there is now a 30 foot tall wall that now hides the freeway.

This is now a stucco company, in 1975, it was a movie theater, it was Stacy and my first date. We saw Young Frankenstein.

Across the parking lot from the movie theater was and still is, "Foster's Freeze." Best hamburgers in Spring Valley and the greatest soft serve in the valley.
The little house on Skyline Drive where Stacy lived in Lemon Grove.

The house I grew up in on Broadview Street in Spring Valley. I used to walk to Stacy's house and back just about every night.
The El Cajon valley that we both love so much.

On this trip it was all about what Stacy wanted to eat. Although I did get in a few chili dogs, it was all about rolled tacos and carne asada burritos for her. I don't think we had a home cooked meal the whole time we were there. I was suppose to get homemade meatballs, but my brother got lazy so I got them at Fillippi's instead.

Stacy with her best friend from high school, Cindy (l), my godson Stephen, and his girlfriend Megan.
Megan, Stacy and Cindy sitting outside Costco after eating a huge vanilla and chocolate dipped ice cream.
I was a great vacation, it was great to attend Andi and Ted's wedding, seeing family and friends and even jumping off the house into the pool.
No bumps, no bruises and no scars on this trip. I like it.
